Susangela: Painter Sculptor Photographer captures dynamic colour and surreal movement!

I, Susangela, create dynamic two and three dimensional works, inspired by eclectic interests and travel: From deep within the Australian outback to Bath’s lost architectural gems, from remote Himalayan mountain passes to secret, winding Parisian passage ways. As an artist-visionary, I uncover movement in people, nature and, yes, even the built environment...

My Work

My work can be broadly, categorised into four areas: Paintings using acrylics or oil paints on canvas, mixed media or oil pastels on paper, sculpture and photography. I have a unique perspective that has been heavily influenced through travel and living across several continents. The influence of culture dance and music has always been inspiring to me and I am currently working on a series of large oil pastels depicting Indian desert dancers.

Art for Sale

All of my paintings, oil pastels and photographs are available as high quality Giclée prints; archival quality, pigment inks and paper are used so these prints last up to 120 years. I take very high quality photographs from which to base my reproductions of my originals. This allows detailed enlargements to be made. Larger reproductions can make a more dramatic impact when hung or, alternatively, they can be reduced in size to suit your preferences. The quality of the prints is such that when the "Desert Shi" print, currently showing at Sofabulous (see current exhibition below), was exhibited during the Frome Open Studios 2016, everyone thought it was original; this print is 145 x 90 cms

My sculptures can be reproduced and cast in bronze or marble resin.
